Cohere Platform

User-controlled

Cohere says enterprise SaaS customers can opt out of prompts and generations being used to train Cohere models in dashboard Data Controls; private and third-party cloud deployments do not send prompts or generations to Cohere.

Training use

On the SaaS Platform, prompts and generations may be used for training unless Data Controls are set to opt out. Private and partner-cloud deployments keep prompts and generations outside Cohere's processing.

How to opt out

Open Settings -> Data Controls and turn training use off. Changes apply to data created after the setting change. Eligible enterprises can also request zero data retention.

Private content

Cohere states that these enterprise data commitments apply to commercial paying customers. Trial and non-enterprise use can fall under different terms.

Retention

Logged SaaS prompts and generations are automatically deleted after 30 days unless legal, contractual, abuse, or separately retained training exceptions apply.

Human review

Safety and security teams may review flagged prompts, generations, and logs to enforce usage policy and secure the service.
