ServiceNow Now Assist

Depends on data-sharing settings

ServiceNow says Now Assist inference data is processed transiently in regional compute hubs and is not commingled with other customers, while optional data sharing for Now LLM improvement can be opted out in admin settings.

Training use

Runtime generative processing is described as deleted from compute hubs after response generation. A separate customer data-sharing program can contribute to Now LLM improvement unless the instance opts out.

How to opt out

Instance administrators with the required role can opt out of data sharing in Now Assist Admin settings. ServiceNow also documents Data Privacy masking before prompts leave the instance.

Private content

Only the prompt context needed for a skill leaves the instance. Permissions-aware retrieval and domain separation remain part of the control model.

Retention

ServiceNow says input and output used to generate a response are deleted from compute hubs after processing. Instance records, logs, and any retained shared-improvement datasets follow separate paths.

Human review

The reviewed documentation focuses on data sharing, masking, and architecture rather than one general human-review statement.
