Common questions

Why is the standard free?
Standards only work when they can be cited freely. The PSF is the institutional output — credibility comes from people referencing it, not from gating it. Revenue comes from the credentials that prove competence against the standard, and from organisational programs that assess against it.
Are paid certifications one-time or subscription?
One-time per individual credential. Specialist exams are $97. Senior portfolio reviews are $297 (CPAP) or $997 (CPAA). DSA starts from $4,997. Integrator status is $4,997/year or $497/month.
Do specialist certs require the free ones first?
No. The free credentials (AIDA, AIMA, AIFA) build shared PSF vocabulary. Specialist certs assume PSF familiarity but do not gate prerequisites.
What does the Deployment Safety Assessment include?
A structured independent assessment of your AI systems against the eight PSF domains, conducted by PAI assessors. It starts from $4,997, with scope confirmed before payment. See /certify/dsa to begin.
Is PSF Workflow Studio really free?
Yes. Studio (WorkflowOS) is the free, open-source reference implementation of PSF workflow patterns. Use the hosted version freely, or self-host your own from the public GitHub repo. It is open source under the MIT licence, community-supported and provided as-is — not a managed product, but a working artifact that demonstrates the standard.
Refunds?
Free credentials cannot be refunded (there is nothing to refund). Paid examinations are refundable within 14 days if not yet attempted. Portfolio reviews and organisational programs are governed by their respective agreements.
